FAQs

A more affordable, accessible, and mindful way to live in the Northern Rivers.

  • The studio is offered at a market rent of $800 per week.

A second option is available at $440 per week, paired with a paid weekly contribution known as The Shift, which offsets part of the rent.

  • The Shift is an optional 4-hour Sunday morning session supporting restoration and creative growth.

It is designed to be calm, structured, and restorative — often including time for swimming, reading, walks, coffee, and reset.

This role also supports me as a disabled person, forming part of a consistent and respectful household rhythm, and mutual time to practice mindfulness and reflection.

  • The weekly rent remains $800 in market value.

If you opt into The Shift:

    • You are paid $90/hour + super for 4 hours

    • Your wages ($360/week) are credited toward rent

    • You retain 12% superannuation separately

This results in an effective weekly out-of-pocket rent of $440, while maintaining a clear and formal arrangement.

  • No — you can choose the standard $800/week rent with no additional commitment.

  • This structure is designed to:

    • maintain the true value of the space

    • reduce rent burden through paid, structured contribution

    • provide a working model of mutual support and care

It’s intended to be affordable, transparent, and sustainable.

  • Available from April 30.

  • Yes — short-term stays can be discussed depending on timing and fit.

  • Someone (or a couple) who is independent, respectful, and comfortable in a quiet, private environment. The space suits people who value structure, flexibility, and a considered way of living.
